This stuff takes FOREVER to dry. It has been 6 hours since I applied it and it still comes off on my fingers if I touch it. It isn't even trying to dry. If you are expecting rain within the forseeable future, this is a nogo.

I still had 1/2 a 32oz tub of Dap platinum patch advanced exterior filler, and opened to use on a project and the top was full of gray mold! Can I scrape off the mold and use it for an outdoor small hole filler on a resin bird bath stand?

I use translucent or clear low modulus base silicone sealent.If you make a mess whilst caulking it doesn't show up

Terrible product it does not apply like any other product I’ve ever used. I am an artist with regular Dap, now I have to figure out how to remove it and start over.

Instructions are confusing - which is which ? How about a clear CHART with same info but more concisely presented?

48 hrs still not cured called the dap hot line they said if the surface had ever had silicone on it , it won't cure . Nothing about this on the table. They offered me the price of the tube . But nothing for my time 6hrs including removal and drywall repair. Please don't waste your money and especially your time on this crap

Why does the white alex plus say that its paintable in 30 minutes but the clear alex plus says that i need to wait 7-14 days? 😵‍💫🥴😫 I already have all the clear caulk laid but i didn't see that detail untill just now... Any way I can speed this up? I don't have two weeks to wait to finish this project....

How long should it take to dry? I put glazing on 2 weeks ago and it still leaves a fingerprint…

This is a great home repair but at 1:44 you can see a problem I ran into in my basement. Wires are bundled up and tacked to the sill plate. I wanted to seal the seam where the sill plate contacts the concrete wall but wires were in the way. I would not spray foam over the wires. I moved the wires where I could and caulked the seam. I was also working around drop ceiling rails which made it awkward. In the real world you have to overcome obstacles. I have done rim joist sealing and insulation on 3 houses and each had it's own challenges. It is well worth it my opinion because the cold air that is leaking in is cooling the floor under the main living space so the house gets more comfortable right away when you seal it. It will also lower your heat bill but it will take some time to recoup the cost.

This stuff is absolute garbage. I just used this on my shower. It's nearly impossible to apply easily. and it's incredible sticky, I had to use harsh chemicals on my hands to get it off when a traditional silicone can wash pretty easily from anything.

Why the fuck is it white? What the fuck, 18 tubes were priced at $9.48. Fuck this brand.

Hey, what type of spackle do you use. Mine doesn't spread like yours. Its thick and won't spread from underneath the paper part of the patch
